the pool of technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to
the Indian Power Sector. The course enhances the knowledge and skill of the
fresh Graduate Engineers who join this course at their own as well as the
engineers sponsored by Power utilities etc.
ABOUT
THE COURSE:The course is of 39 weeks duration & covers all aspects of Hydro
Power Plant Engineering including O&M, erection, commissioning, Management,
Distribution of Electricity & Tariff.The course covers the syllabus as per CEA
regulation 2010.
ELIGIBILITY:B-Tech/B.E. in
Mechanical/Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineeringorits equivalent
degree from a recognized Engineering College/University for both Non- sponsored
& sponsored candidates. Candidates under sponsored category have to provide
sponsorship letter from its employer/ sponsoring authority.
AGE LIMIT:No age limit.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Merit basis (% of marks of
qualifying engineering degree).
TOTAL SEATS:60 (Sixty). Reservation for
SC/ST/OBC/PH etc.is applicable as per Govt. of India norms. 25% seats are
reserved for candidates sponsored from the power utilities. Total No of seats
may vary as per requirements. Vacant seats in sponsored category may be filled
by non-sponsored category & vice-versa if required.
PLACEMENT:This course is job oriented professionalcourse
and NPTImaintains linkages with the Hydro Power utilities&
reputed hydro power companies for the placement.
HOW TO APPLY :Prescribed applicationas
per format(i.e. Annexure A ,B & C ) filled with relevant details along with
Demand Draft of Rs. 1500/- including
Service-Tax,(Non-refundable)in
favour of “HPTC, NPTI Nangal”payable
atNayaNangal(SBI, Branch code-0689),
Punjab,should reach to HOI, National
Power Training Institute HPTC, Nangal,Distt. Ropar-140124 (Punjab)latest by
3rd Aug 2015 up to 05.00 PM. Envelope containing the application
form and other documents should be marked“Application
for PGDC (Hydro) – 2015-16”.
COURSE FEES:(1)For Non-sponsored candidates: Rs. 1, 75,000/-+ Service Tax
as per govt norms in two instalments (1st instalment:Rs.1, 00,
000/-+ Service Tax as per govt. normsat the time of counselling for
confirmation of admission & 2nd instalment: Rs.75,000/- +Service
Tax as per govt norms onor before 26th Dec 2015).
(2)For sponsored
candidates Rs. 2,00,000/- + Service Taxas per govt normsat the time of counselling
for confirmation of admission.There is no fee concession for any category of
candidates.The course fee paid is non- refundable
in above both the cases.
TRANSPORTATION CHARGES &
SECURITY DEPOSITSTransportation charge Rs. 5,000/- +Service Tax @ 4.94% &
security Rs.3, 000/-(Refundable) are
to be deposited at the time of admission.
LODGING:Limited hostel facility
(twin sharing basis)is available on first come first serve basis, subject to
availability @ Rs. 2,500/- + Service Tax per month & total amount for full
tenure (Rs.22,500/- + Service Tax as
per govt norms) to be deposited
at the time of admission.
BOARDINGMess is available for the
students availing hostel facility. Initially students are suppose to deposit
monthly charges for three months including service tax as per the govt. norms
and thereafter every three months to be paid directly to the institute..
