ICMAM Project Directorate: Various Posts(Last Date: 28-Aug-2014)

Applications are invited for filling up following temporary project positions purely in project mode in the ICMAM Project Directorate, Chennai, an attached office of the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) initially for a period of one year extendable further based on performance as per details given below.

Project Scientist - II: 03 Posts Qualification: Masters degree in Marine Science/ Chemical Oceanography or equivalent with at least first class not less than 60% marks. Or Masters degree or equivalent in Oceanography/ Marine Science/ Physics/ Mathematics or related subjects or ME/ M.Tech. in Coastal/ Ocean related subjects or equivalent from recognized University/Institute with at least first class not less than 60% marks.  Project Scientist I: 07 Posts Qualification: M.Sc. (Marine Biology/ Zoology) with at least first class not less than 60% marks. Or M.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry/ Inorganic Chemistry/ Marine Chemistry) with at least first class not less than 60% marks. Or M.Sc. (Physics/ Remote sensing/ Marine Science/ Oceanography with remote sensing as a specialization. Or M.Tech. (Remote sensing or related subject) with at least first class not less than 60% marks. Or Master degree or equivalent in Oceanography/ Marine Science/ Physics/ Mathematics /MCA or related subjects or ME/ M.Tech. Coastal/ Ocean related subjects or equivalent with at least first class not less than 60% marks. Or Master degree in Computer Science/ Statistics/ Oceanography/ Marine Biology or equivalent with at least first class not less than 60% marks.  Senior Research Fellow: 03 Posts Qualification: Master degree in Oceanography/ Marine Sciences/ Geo Sciences/ Remote sensing/ MCA/ Physics/ Environmental Sciences or B.Tech. in Geo informatics/ Geo technology or equivalent with at least first class not less than 60% marks. Or M.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry/ Inorganic chemistry/ Marine Chemistry) with at least first class not less than 60% marks. Or M.Sc. (Marine Biology/ Botany/ Zoology) with at least first class not less than 60% marks.  Junior Research Fellow: 01 Post Qualification: M.Sc. in Marine Science, Oceanography, Marine Biology, Marine Chemistry with at least first class not less than 60% marks and UGC-CSIR NET qualified.  Senior Project Assistant: 01 Post Qualification: Diploma in Electronics/ Telecommunications/ instrumentation with at least first class not less than 60% marks.
